Accessibility statement

The World Village Festival seeks to ensure the accessibility of its websites in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services and the EU Web Accessibility Directive.

This accessibility statement applies to the maailmakylassa.fi website. The statement was prepared on 13 December 2021.

The list of requirements set out for Level AA in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 were taken into account in the design, implementation and contents of the website. Accessibility will be taken into account in website development and content updates in the future, too.

The state of accessibility was assessed by the online service provider Avidly Plc using the Siteimprove service.

State of accessibility of the website

The website is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements. Non-compliance with and derogations from compliance with requirements are specified below.

Non-accessible content that is not accessible due to disproportionate burden

Some videos published between 24 September 2018 and 25 May 2019 lack captions, and there are non-accessible graphs in PDF files illustrating attendee and exhibitor surveys on the website.

A derogation due to a disproportionate burden referred to in Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 is applied temporarily to these.

Non-accessible content not within the scope of applicable legislation

Videos published before 23 September 2018 lack captions. These are not within the scope of applicable legislation.
